Project Overview

The Continent Hotel Akure — located on Igbatoro Road, Alagbaka Extension in the heart of Akure, Ondo State — holds a unique distinction as the first international hotel brand to establish itself in Akure, opening in May 2021 under the Turkish-owned Continent International group. The 4-star property, winner of the 'Most Exciting Brand of the Year Nigeria 2021' award by African Travel Times and ranked #1 hotel in Akure on TripAdvisor, engaged Envostructs to carry out a comprehensive remodelling programme covering the hotel's interiors, public areas, guestrooms, and facilities. The objective was to refresh and upgrade the hotel to meet its guests' evolving expectations and reinforce its position as Ondo State's premier hospitality destination for business and leisure travellers.

Executing comprehensive remodelling works within an operational hotel — minimising disruption to paying guests and live hotel functions
Coordinating phased room-by-room refurbishment to keep a portion of the 70-room inventory available throughout the works
Sourcing and matching premium interior finishes to the existing hotel aesthetic while delivering a perceptible quality upgrade
MEP upgrades — electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning systems — within existing ceiling and wall voids without structural damage

Floor-by-floor phased programme agreed with hotel management — floors taken offline in sequence, minimising revenue impact
Night-works shift introduced for noisy demolition and screed works to protect guest experience during daytime hotel operations
Premium materials — including Italian-format tiles, engineered wood flooring, and custom joinery — selected to match and elevate the existing brand standards
MEP works coordinated with specialist subcontractors, with pressure testing of all plumbing and load-testing of electrical upgrades before room reinstatement
